We welcome submissions that fit under our broad definition of environment
BCEFF is committed to showcasing high quality programming from diverse genres and subject matters. Through the art of filmmaking, we intend to bring to our audience films that share in all the diverse aspects of experiences on our planet. We welcome submissions that demonstrate artistry, scientific integrity, and fit under our broad definition of social, cultural, natural, and political environments.
Examples of subjects that would fall under this umbrella would be
- Stories addressing communities such as: indigenous peoples, LGBTQ+, minorities, deaf and/or blind, diasporas, multicultural, exec.
- Cultural: gender inequality, sexuality, power dynamics, and the black lives matter movement.
- Geo-political: over population, energy crisis, sex trafficking, pandemics, famine, and wars.
- Domestic: immigration, prison systems, healthcare, and wage gap.
- Environmental: pollutions, climate change, and biodiversity.
- Social: technology, psychology, medicine, and spirituality.
